Our Story

Hello, my name is Matt Durrant, and I am the founder and Managing Director of i4me. I started my career in insurance in 2004 as an office junior for a local – but very successful – insurance broker. Although it was a basic role, it gave me opportunities to see up close how the industry worked and how the business was run. I showed an aptitude for management and service proposition development and was fortunate to be mentored by the Managing Director.

Over the years, I moved into several leadership and managerial roles. In 2012, the business was bought by a major consolidator, and I was retained as Regional Operations Director and then Schemes Director. Over time, I became increasingly disillusioned with working for a large company, because I felt that it was very hard to deliver a personalised service to the customer, which in my opinion is central to being a broker. Given this, my passion for business development, and the skills I had learned over the years, it was a natural decision to start i4me in 2016. I know that choosing the right broker is an important decision.
